FAQ
Plain answers, no runaround
The questions people ask Gil most, answered the way he'd answer them across the table.
What should I do right after a crash?
Get medical care first, even if you feel all right; some injuries show up days later. Then photograph the scene and your injuries, get the other driver's insurance details, and keep every bill and receipt.
The insurer offered me money already. Should I take it?
Not before you know what your injuries will cost. Once you accept a payment and sign a release, you usually can't ask for more. Gil can tell you whether an offer is close.
How much is my case worth?
It depends on your medical care, your lost income, how the injury changes your life, and the insurance available. Anyone who names a figure on the first call is guessing. Gil will give you a range once the records are in.
How long will it take?
Many cases settle within months after treatment ends. Cases with serious injuries, disputed fault or a lawsuit can take a year or more. Gil won't rush a settlement to close a file.
Do I have to go to court?
Most injury cases settle without a trial. If yours needs to be filed in court, you'll decide that together, and Gil will prepare you for every step.
I don't have papers. Can I still bring a claim?
Generally, yes. Being hurt in a crash gives you the same right to compensation regardless of immigration status, and Gil keeps what you tell him confidential.
Can I talk to Gil in Spanish?
Yes. Gil and his case manager, Anabel, both speak Spanish, from the first call through every letter and meeting.
What does it cost to hire Gil?
No fee unless there's a recovery. The fee is a percentage set in your written agreement, and case costs are repaid from a recovery. If there's no recovery, you owe neither the fee nor the costs.
